contributor Sara Fabian’s article, “7 Life Truths I Wish I Knew Sooner,” puts things we stress out about into perspective. Fabian, a woman’s career and empowerment coach, says she herself struggled with low self-esteem. She didn’t see herself as beautiful, smart or good enough, so, she took matters into her own hands.

She started by acknowledging that we can only change the things we are aware of and accept as true. Once she faced her truth, she began making a list of thing things she liked about herself and added one new thing every day. She could now see her achievements and appreciate the work and effort they required.

Through various self-assessment tests, she learned more about the person she was at her core. She was empathetic, intuitive, determined, focused and more. Armed with new self-awareness she sees herself in a new light and is now committed to treating herself with kindness.
