McKinsey reports between May 25th and the end of October, 32% of Fortune 1000 companies made public statements supporting racial justice.  22% made commitments to promote racial equity through changes in products, services, and strategic investments.  18% launched initiatives to advance internal diversity and inclusion by requiring diverse candidate slates, increasing supplier diversity, and launching learning opportunities.

While such efforts are part of the solution to this enduring, complex, systemic issue, McKinsey’s research suggests a broad coalition that spans every sector of society – public and private, social and economic – is needed.

So, if your business is committed to racial equity, critically evaluate your plans and resource utilization.  Channel your energy and investments in ways that truly drive racial equity in the workforce, communities you serve, and society.
