The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on women in the workplace – especially those with responsibility for children, or elder care, or both – is significant.

The ever-increasing, endless workplace demands combined with full-time responsibilities at home is causing many – particularly those who feel they have the privilege of choice – to acknowledge something has to give.  Some are taking on less responsibile roles, moving to reduced or part-time schedules, or taking a sabbatical.  Some are even considering quitting.

What about the women in your workplace?  What’s their experience?  If you don’t know, and you care, it’s time to ask.  As they answer, listen to their reality with an open mind and heart.  Ask what would help?  What would feel more supportive, equitable, balanced, fair.  Then act before they walk.  Retain the talent that makes your business great.
