If You’re Making 2018 Resolutions, This Is Key

Are you crystal clear about what you would like to accomplish over the next month, six months or over the next year or two? Or, are you more general, perhaps even vague, when it comes to your goals?

If your goal is not specific, you really don’t know exactly what you’re aiming for. When you face a choice, without a goal in mind, you’re missing important criteria for making decisions that support success.

People who set clear, specific goals tend to achieve them. Their goals motivate action and drive their decision-making. It helps them determine priorities and to what they devote their time and attention. It even influences which meetings and events they say, “Yes” to.

As we get set to enter a New Year, spend the end of this one determining what you’re specific goals are. Clarify your preferred outcomes. Set reasonable action steps and time frames. Along the way, celebrate achievement of milestones.
