Do You Have A BIG Idea?

Do You Have A BIG Idea?

One that will transform your career, land you a brand new role or help you branch out to build your own successful enterprise? Have you put a plan of action in place? Or are you stalling, plagued by doubt, continuing to play small?

Here’s the best way to get out of your own way and break free of self-imposed limitations.

Whenever you talk about your BIG idea, listen to the seemingly well-thought-out explanations you use to stick with the status quo. What reasons do you cling to that justify not taking action or moving forward. “Now is not the right time.” “I don’t have the money to get started or take the next step.” “I’m too busy to give it the attention it needs.”

I urge you to challenge yourself. If you’ve been using the same reasons for staying inactive for a while, your reasons have become excuses. This self-imposed story has set up limits and us keeping you from taking steps toward making your BIG idea a reality.

Your Task:  Stop Making Excuses

Instead, set a goal and create a plan of action. Then, swallow hard and take the first step toward your BIG idea. It’s that simple.

Many times along your journey to success, doubt and uncertainty will creep in and try to take you off your game. You’ll be lulled into the false security of settling for less. That’s your internal “border patrol” doing its job – which is to keep you barricaded inside your comfort zone.

Learn to resist these attempts to derail your progress. If you truly want to take a bold step forward, know that you will be required to revisit and reset your action plan again and again. Why? Because the path to success is never a straight line.
