Over the past year, in the face of unprecedented change, uncertainty, anxiety, and loss we surmounted challenges and found ways to survive and remain sane.  What inspired us to keep going, to stay engaged?

Gallup queried 150 chief human resources officers about what kept members of their workforce focused and productive.  Here’s a taste of what they named as important drivers of engagement:

• Having a sense of mission and purpose. 
• Recognizing people for their contributions, especially those who went above and beyond.
• Taking extra steps to show empathy and compassion to others. Demonstrating you care matters.
• Communicating regularly and transparently.  This simple act strengthens trust, and boosts morale and productivity.
