Values Driven Decision Making
We make thousands of decisions every day. There are infinite forces at work that cloud judgment, divert good intentions and give rise to internal conflict. Love of money, fame and fortune may be the obvious culprits, but well-meaning advice from trusted sources can also lead you astray.
Most of the time we don’t even realize that we’ve chosen one thing over another. But, when making a decision creates gut-wrenching angst, a pain in your head or an ache in your chest, that’s when sticking to your values is most critical. Anxiety may be a cue that you’re considering options that are out of alignment with your personal value system. Walt Disney once said, “When your values are clear to you, making decisions becomes easier.”
When you’re at that crossroad, take the time to search your heart and make the decision that is right for the best you – the person you want to be. Remember, today’s decisions become tomorrow’s legacy.
