Whether you’re into New Year’s Resolutions or not, the holiday season is a good time to press the reset button.  Many of us spend more time with the people we consider priorities and engage in activities we enjoy.  This year, think about how you can insert even more of your personal priorities into the year ahead.

During this unofficial downtime, think about what makes you happy and restores your soul.  Whose presence recharges you and makes you want to be better?  Map out ways to give more time to that activity or person.  It might mean committing to date night with your spouse, or monthly get-togethers with uplifting friends.

While your work life is scheduled, the time you’re not on the job is yours to make the most of.  Take time to identify things that help you refuel and recharge.  Then, put them on your schedule, too.
