Are you putting forth the quality of effort real success demands? Do you give your dreams and goals your best effort, every single day? Or, are you more in the habit of talking about success, while your constructive actions are insufficient and inconsistent?

Frederick Douglass, an escaped slave who became an Abolitionist, famed orator, author, statesman, and supporter of the women’s suffrage movement, was quoted as saying, “[…] allowing only ordinary ability and opportunity, we may explain success mainly by one word and that word is WORK! WORK!! WORK!!! WORK!!!! Not transient and fitful effort, but patient, enduring, honest, unremitting and indefatigable work into which the whole heart is put[…] There is no royal road to perfection.”

Whatever you’re dreaming of accomplishing, remember Frederick Douglass’ words. Do the work success requires.
