How was your Thanksgiving? I hope delight-full and heart-warming.

This year, more than any other, I found myself writing the word Thanksgiving as Thanks-giving. Somehow, writing it as a hyphenated word made its meaning clearer. I felt good each time I wrote and read the word/words “Thanks-giving.”

Thanks-giving is a powerful practice, a way of acknowledging what you truly value. Thanks-giving is appreciating and affirming with gratitude. A grateful heart is gracious and kind. And, gratitude invites more of the good. A mind that’s stayed on giving thanks is a magnet for more to be thankful for.

Thanks-giving is a mindset, an orientation to seeing and living life, a way of being. It’s a conscious choice you can make, if you haven’t done so already.

When you approach life with thanks in your mind and heart, whatever comes, you accept and, as often as you can, even appreciate. Giving thanks for all you experience, everyday, makes life sacred and affirms your trust in a benevolent universe and your own ability to handle the ups and downs of your life.

Daily, moment-to-moment thanks-giving is central to the life of everyone who knows they are a Spirit of Purpose.

With thanks-giving,

Teressa
