Does your company use email for urgent, time-sensitive communication?  Do you or others in the company expect immediate responses.  Do people get frustrated when they don’t get one?  

Old email practices interrupt your knowledge workers’ flow and concentration. They result in constant multi-tasking, which breeds mistakes.  They also don’t allow for well-thought-out solutions to develop.  Consider designating another communication channel – like calls or texts — for urgent matters.  You’ll create a better environment for single-tasking, and a less distracted, stressed knowledge-focused team.
