“To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.”

Within these words by Henry David Thoreau, I find an undeniable truth about consciously choosing to think positively.

So, I’m asking you: what thoughts are occupying valuable space in your mind?  Do you devote your brainpower to thinking about what you want and how you’ll get it?  Or are you preoccupied with people and situations in your life or at work that evoke negative feelings.  What we think is what we become.

Therefore, I urge you to tend to your thoughts.

Make sure you focus on the positive — the things that are good for your soul and that move you in your desired direction.  Doing so can help you improve the way you feel, moment to moment.  Over time, it will also improve the quality of your life.

Even if your circumstances don’t change, a more positive mindset will decrease stress and increase peace.
